Game Notes Liberty, Pa. - In a light rain and on a wet field, Sayre beat Montgomery 4-0 in the first game of the Liberty Tournament and will play the winner of the Liberty-Jersey Shore game for the tournament title on Saturday. Trey Hildebrandt opened the scoring with a header at 9:29 into the first half on a Taylor Skerpon assist. Taylor Skerpon made the score 2-0 with a strong left foot shot at 17:53 of the first half after controlling a long punt from goalie Tyler Young. Spencer Ward then scored on a tap-in from assists by Matt Bruer and Taylor Skerpon at 39:31 before Taylor Skerpon finished out the scoring with an unassisted goal 13 seconds later at 39:44. The second half was scoreless with both sides getting chances. Young finished with a shutout after facing 24 shots and making 12 saves. Jon Rhone, the goalie for Montgomery, faced 24 shots and made six saves. Each side had four corner kicks. Loading commenting interface...
